The Town Court is your local municipal court with juridiction over Traffic, Criminal, Civil, Small Claims, Landlord/Tenant, and Family Court (when Family Court is not in session) matters. The Town Court also handles Local Zoning, Land-Use and State Health and Fire Code violations as well as Dog Ordinance, Environmental Conservation, Navigation Law, Tax and Transportation Law violations that occur within the Town of Otsego.

Town Justice Courts are frequently called "the Courts closest to the People" because of their broad, although limited, jurisdiction over matters that affect the local community. Our mission is to serve our community by providing "justice" - timely, fair and equal justice - and to fulfill our Constitutional mandates as a "separate but equal" branch of government.

Justice Gary M. Kuch and Justice Lauren Glynn preside over the Otsego Town Court.

The Court is located at the back of the Town Office Building, at 811 Co Hwy 26 in the hamlet of Fly Creek. The Court's mailing address is P.O. Box 57, Fly Creek, NY 13337-0057.

Vehicle and Traffic Court - 1st and 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm

The court clerk's office hours - Monday-Thursday, 9am - 2pm.

Criminal Court - 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30pm

“Summer” court hours are Monday – Thursday 9 – 3:30.

Payment Information:
By State law, only CASH or CERTIFIED funds are accepted, and only in US dollars. Certified checks and Postal Money Orders are to be made payable to the Town of Otsego Court. Payments may be made in person or through the mail. Personal checks are not accepted.

Directions to the Court:
From the north:
Traveling south on State Highway 28, turn right at the blinking light at the 4-corners in Fly Creek, bear to the left (the Firehall will be on your left) and go straight on Co Hwy 26 approximately 1,000 yards. The Town Offices will be on your right. Entrance to the Town Court is at the rear of the Town Building.

From the south:
Traveling north on State Highway 28, turn left on Co Hwy 26 (just past the Ford Dealership) and continue straight approximately 2.5 miles, the Town Offices will be on the left. (If you get to the Firehall, you have gone to far). Entrance to the Town Court is at the rear of the Town Building.

Traveling north on State Highway 205, turn right on State Highway 80, then turn right on State Highway 28 (south) and follow directions as if coming from the north.

From the west:
Traveling on State Highway 80, turn right on State Highway 28 (south) and follow directions as if coming from the north.

From Cooperstown:
Traveling south on Chestnut Street from the traffic light, turn right at the Methodist Church (State Highway 28 north and State Highway 80 west), go straight to the 4-corners in Fly Creek, turn left onto Co Hwy 26, go straight on Co Hwy 26 approximately 1,000 yards, The Town Offices will be on your right.
